The conversion of the ExCel London Exhibition centre into an emergency Covid-19 hospital facility took place in a matter of weeks. The hospital comprised of 80 wards of 42 beds with the capacity for 4,000 patients. WorkSpace manufactured and installed over 1000 units of equipment from our RapidWard range, delivering the first phase of 120 units within 3 days. Our team worked 24 hours and even the weekend to ensure we were able to meet the timescales of the project. Working closely with our project partners BDP, we were able to tailor our operation to meet their rapidly evolving needs. This project was an extraordinary show of collaboration from all involved and is proof of what can be achieved when everyone across all construction disciplines pull together to deliver the impossible.
